Product Terms

Effective date: May 12, 2026 Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. About these Product Terms

ClearSheet is operated by Scott Duyn, a sole proprietor based in California. Your use of ClearSheet is governed by:

  1. The Scott Duyn Terms of Service (the "Master Terms"), AND
  2. These ClearSheet-specific Product Terms.

The Master Terms cover the legal foundation: data ownership, intellectual property, liability, dispute resolution, and other entity-level matters. These Product Terms cover ClearSheet-specific topics: how the Service works, what we do with your spreadsheet, retention, and refunds.

If a Product Term conflicts with a Master Term, the Product Term controls for ClearSheet.

By using ClearSheet, you agree to both the Master Terms and these Product Terms.

2. The ClearSheet Service

ClearSheet processes spreadsheet files to identify and fix common data issues:

  • Jammed cells — multi-field cells split into proper columns
  • Cleaning — casing, formatting, punctuation, phone number normalization
  • Merging duplicates — duplicate accounts collapsed into a master row
  • Enrichment — missing fields (phone, address, ZIP) filled via Google Places lookup

Output is delivered as a downloadable file with an audit trail showing every change made.

3. Pricing

ClearSheet uses per-fix pricing:

  • $0.05 per fix for jammed cells, cleaning, and merging
  • $0.10 per cell for enrichment fills
  • $9 minimum for any paid checkout
  • Free when total fixes are below the free-tier threshold

You only pay for fix categories you keep at checkout. Toggle off any category to remove it from the price; the downloaded file will not include changes from that category.

Prices are subject to change. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.

4. Data retention

Spreadsheets you upload to ClearSheet are retained for 30 days after upload, then automatically deleted from our systems.

You may request immediate deletion of your file at any time by emailing hello@clearsheet.co.

The Change Log delivered with your downloaded file is yours to keep — we do not retain a copy beyond the 30-day window.

5. Enrichment limitations

ClearSheet's enrichment feature uses the Google Places API to find missing contact fields based on the account name and any partial address information you provide.

  • We charge for enrichment only when we successfully fill a field. If we don't find a match, you don't pay for that record.
  • Enrichment quality depends on Google Places data, which is not perfect. We do not guarantee that enriched values are current, complete, or accurate.
  • You should verify enrichment results before using them in business-critical contexts.
  • Enrichment is opt-in. You control whether to include enrichment in your purchase via the toggle on the review page.

6. Output accuracy

ClearSheet's classifier uses statistical pattern matching to identify and fix issues. It is not perfect.

  • The Service may miss some issues or fix things that didn't need fixing.
  • The Audit Trail (the __clearsheet_changes column on Sheet 1 and the Change Log on Sheet 2) lets you verify every change before relying on the output.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the output before using it. ClearSheet does not warrant that every fix is correct.

The category-level toggles on the review page let you reject entire categories of fixes if you disagree with the classifier's decisions. Your downloaded file will reflect only the categories you accepted.

7. Refunds

Refunds for ClearSheet purchases are governed by the ClearSheet Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Product Terms.

8. Acceptable use (ClearSheet-specific additions)

In addition to the acceptable use rules in the Master Terms, you specifically agree not to:

  • Upload spreadsheets containing data subject to HIPAA, GLBA, COPPA, or other heightened-privacy regulations without first executing a separate agreement with us
  • Upload data scraped or otherwise obtained without consent of the individuals named in it
  • Upload spreadsheets exceeding the file-size or row-count limits stated in the upload interface

9. Service availability

ClearSheet is offered as a beta product. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability, but we make no uptime guarantees during beta. Availability targets will be defined when ClearSheet exits beta.

10. Updates

These Product Terms may be updated as ClearSheet evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on clearsheet.co at least 30 days before taking effect.
